Weaving Yarn(s), Weaving Community

The HOPE House Yarn & Yap group is far more than a space to learn crochet. The people who come together to create purposeful works such as baby blankets, tea towels, and warm winter toques are connecting as a micro-community. They inform, support, problem solve, listen, and share their stories with one another. A simple and creative pastime becomes a therapeutic and transformational community here.

Your wonderful crochet mentor, Martha, supplies yarn and hooks for beginners or for those who don’t have materials themselves. Yarn & Yap is an LGBTQ+ safe space and welcomes all.

Join us Tuesdays from 10am to 2pm in the HOPE House lounge. Martha, and everyone here at HOPE House, look forward to seeing you.

Do you have a creative talent and time to share it with others? Please contact volunteers@lakesidehopehouse.ca.
